Well, if you were looking for something that is fun, funky and street legal that you can enjoy on your own then this might be it! Starting with a steel body that’s been painted in Purple and Yellow painted script, this Roadster is exciting to look at let alone drive.
The Yellow painted wire wheels and leaf spring suspension are humble but appropriate for this build. The heart rate of any gear head will really get going when you check out the powertrain on this Sprint Car; a 1940 model year 59 L Block motor is visible from both sides of the engine compartment. Featuring Offenhauser heads, a Herman and Collins race cam, stainless steel valves, adjustable lifters and two Stromberg 97 2bbl carburetors, this 1932 Ford is ready to rock and roll.
Although there is no reverse gear, this Sprint Car has 3 forward gears that turn the rear wheels through a stock ’32 rear end geared 3.78 for great off-the-line acceleration as well as performance at speed.
Since there’s a gas pedal on one side and a clutch on the other in the cockpit of this one-seat racer, braking is controlled by the pull lever to the left of the seat between the body and the exhaust. There are brakes on all four wheels of the vehicle.
As aforementioned, there’s just one Black vinyl seat in this vehicle and an instrument cluster with gauges for water temperature, oil pressure and a tachometer. There’s an electric fan switch and the seller recommends this be used once operating temperature exceeds 190 degrees Fahrenheit.
