The ’34 Ford was an updated version of Ford’s popular V8 line (designated as the Model 40 in 1934) and came with several configurations from 2-door cabriolet, 2-door roadster, 2/4 door sedan as well as the 3 and 5 window coupe.
Since the 1960’s, these Ford V8’s have become sought after in the hot rodding scene and continue to be restored to high quality examples like this one.
Exterior styling on these ’34 Fords are part of what contribute to their popularity and it’s easy to see why with the sleek Black paintjob on this car along with the Black vinyl roof insert and chrome bumpers, headlight surrounds and grille. Finished off by Black painted steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and BF Goodrich whitewall radial tires, it’s clear that few corners were cut for presentation on this hot rod.
The “V8″ badge on the front grille gives some indication of what’s under the hood but the original Flathead that would have come with this vehicle has been swapped for a more powerful GM-sourced 350 CID V8 engine that the seller estimates to have less than 1,000 miles on it since the build was completed. Dressed up with chrome valve covers and air cleaner as well as performance extras such as an aluminum intake, 4bbl carburetor and exhaust headers, this ’34 Ford should “go” as well as “show”! A 3-speed automatic transmission was chosen for gear shifting in this 5-Window Coupe.
Hop inside the reverse opening driver or passenger doors and you’ll be greeted by reupholstered White and Black two-tone vinyl.
