Balmoral Green 1937 Buick Century 320 CID Inline 8 Cylinder 3 Speed Manual

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this unique 1937 Buick Century.

First generation Centurys were produced between 1936 and 1942. Powered by the 320-cubic-inch producing 141 hp making them the fastest Buicks of the era and capable of speeds of 100 mph, hence the name Century (100). It was claimed that this earned the Century the nickname “the banker’s hot rod.”

This Balmoral Green example is claimed to be powered by this famous 320 CI Inline 8 cylinder and mated to a believed to be 3-speed manual transmission. The owner believes that the drivetrain was rebuilt about 1,000 miles ago and it appears that way when referencing condition.

This car should turn some heads as it cruises by with its stylish paint theme, butterfly opening hood, suicide rear doors, chrome grille and bumpers, dual spare tires with covers, and painted to match steel wheels with white wall tires. The interior gives you the classic, but luxury feel with a woodgrain dash, cloth bench seating, and chrome trim.

The current owner does claim to have records and documentation, believes to be the 3rd private owner, and is finally ready to allow someone else to enjoy this beauty.
