1930 Ford Model A

This vehicle belongs to my dear friend who has now decided that at 87 years old, life here in The Villages is too fast paced and wishes to retire from retirement and live near the water. That’s a retired Navy Chief for you!
He has owned this little pickup since he was 18 and even took it on his honeymoon.

When you look at this Model A, you can tell that it has been meticulously cared for for by him. The truck underwent a total restoration in 2013 and has been driven less than 200 miles since. A lot of documentation and photos covering the restoration. The fenders are fiberglass, the rest of the vehicle is all steel.

Interior is very, very nice. All glass is as new and the windows operate smoothly.

An interesting story about the this engine; It was completely rebuilt in 1947 and not installed until 2013. A compression check shows even compression across all four cylinders. No smoke, no oil consumption or overheating. As new in every way. It has been converted to 12 volts with an alternator.
Over the years, I have helped him install an EZ steer steering box for easier and more precise steering, an upgraded water pump and fan, tubular shocks, new brakes and drums. We also installed an expensive new, but disappointing speedometer from a well known parts supplier that has a fairly accurate speedometer, but a wildly inaccurate odometer.
