Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1939 Ford F1 Rat Rod!
These days Rat Rods are becoming quite popular, and this one does not disappoint. Powering this ride is a Henry Ford Flathead V8 that was built by H&H Flatheads.
H&H went through the entire engine and installed a mild cam and larger ported heads. They also installed a modern fuel injection system From MSD that you can see sitting on top where the carburetor would be. Behind the engine is a freshly rebuilt 700 R4 transmission.
This 1939 Ford Rat Rod looks the part and is certainly fun to drive. It feels authentic to an era, but gives those of us more familiar with modern conveniences a bit of confidence with it’s upgrades to the suspension and braking.
The Chassis is also a new chassis from Riley Automotive.
This truck is the ideal new work vehicle, a weekend cruiser, or the platform to take the build to the next level. Either way, this one is going down the road!
